Ok so, basically in response to my previous project with the hobo, jagged lines, and watercolor background, this project is basically the opposite in that there is soft colored pencil and regular pencil lines throughout the piece, i intend on continuing to ink outline the major lines of the piece and also making the smoke from the cigar light and controlled unlike the hobos cigarette which was filthy and all over the place. Lemme know if you see anything missing that I could add. Also, does he look like Bill Gates?
I would just push values, especially in and around Bill, but also in the background. Bill should stand out the most (if he's your focal point), but right now the first thing that catches my eye is the glass because of its darker outline. You could also make it darker where the table meets the edge. It's cool so far though! I always enjoy your work!
ReplyDelete*the colors should be darker at the table edge, and they should get lighter towards the front.

DeleteI love how Bill looks all smug. Like, I google-imaged "Bill Gates smug" and this was what came up: https://i0.wp.com/www.digitaltrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/bill-gates.jpg I think it's pretty awesome and ya got him! Keep inking since it brings it out to the front more :)
