Through Portraiture (2)
And Environmental Work (3)
D) What should I do for the painted backgrounds behind the drawn in figures? Should I use just acrylic paint and use paint brushes and a palette knife for good texture or stick to one? Is my theme focused enough but broad enough at the same time?
Hey Hayley! You can tell that you really put some thought into your theme so far:) I like where it's going so far. Some ideas for your materials and levels of difficulty. Could each piece start with some loose watercolor that creates movement in the piece (layer 1), and then a realistic portrait in pencil representing the moment that humans take for granted(2) and then finish with an area of emphasis (layer three)? THe layer of emphasis could be a pop of color, texture with a palette knife etc.
