The colors do not feel "cheesy" to me anymore...the way you've worked them at this point they are your own colors and uniqueness which is great. The hands are definately standing out better now but I think they could be pushed even lighter (highlight) for depth and perhaps you can darken underneath them as well. Also I wonder if they shadow under the lungs should be darker..perhaps you can play around with that to see which you like better.
