Madison Deloach Surreal project

So far I have just the desert background type scene, but to make it surreal I plan to have desert foxes and maybe even other animals having a night time party. I'm not really sure where to place them though? Also I'm considering using part collage to make the party clothes or even all the animals, what do you think?

  1. I feel like it would be really cool to play with the size of the animals, only because of how big the front cactus is. You could paint one sitting on the end of the one cactus stub and have it small to play with the perspectives and such. I like the party idea, though, and foxes are bae.

  2. I love the gradient in the sky and desert. I feel like the foxes would most certainly bring the piece to life a bit more. Can't wait to see it finished.

  3. Please put some party animals on there. Go full Over The Garden Wall. I think that the animal piece you submitted to Scholastics was adorable and done really well, so given you had one success with animals in human clothing, I say give it a shot again

  4. I agree with Alexa. Adding animals would be fabulous. Also I love the giant cactus; it's an interesting composition

  5. I love the gradient/ombre background! I think the party animals will do this piece justice especially with collaged clothing, maybe even little hats, just a thought. I can't wait to see the finished piece.

  7. The colors are gorgeous. It would be really sick if you were to put more realism inside of your main cactus and really make it look like a true cactus within the desert. I think you really know how and where to put your colors.

  8. I like the cactus in the front. It's like, photobombing the other cacti. And are they partying? Even with the collage aspect, you could make confetti. Just an idea. Also, I'm not sure what the brown spots are (are they shadows?) so maybe define them somehow?... But this is really cool. Party it up!
