This is my last and final piece for my theme area! Sorry it took so long for me to post it. I wasn't able to work on it earlier and I just finished these two areas. This will be a cookie jar and everything is low relief carving on a wheel thrown piece. I plan on touching up and smoothing over the rough edges after I completely finish! Two questions, 1. What can I do around the rim area to make it not look weird without having to carve away at it? and 2. What other details could I put onto the fish or flower to make it stand out more? Feel free to say anything that you suggest! Thanks!
I love the flowers a lot!! Maybe add more scale-y look to the fish. As far as the rim, just smooth it out into the rest of the pot. Bring down the rough edge. I don't exactly know how to say it, but I hope you understand. If not ask me :) Anywho... Love it!

ReplyDeleteLily~ Hmmm.. I'm gonna have to agree with Renee. Just add more scales to the fish. As for the rim, maybe bubble it slightly? So that it looks like it's curling out and around? (how do I explain this?)
