Mira Theme Project 8









Here is my project. Sorry for the poor image quality, I obviously haven't finished yet. For this project, I am creating three cakes inspired by the artist Wayne Thiebaud (as shown in the middle picture). Once I finish decorating the cakes, I will arrange them in a composition/still life that is similar to Thiebaud's, and then photograph it. What should the third cake look like? What style, color, size? I was thinking about creating a cake with a piece missing, as if someone had cut a slice out. Thoughts?

  1. I really like the idea of a tribute to that specific artist's work. I instantly recognized the piece within the blog posts. However I am not able to see either photo of your cakes unfortunately. It may just be something on my end, but I would try to edit your post again to see if the images are loaded properly in case others are having the same issue. I think the look of having at least one of the cakes missing a slice could add a unique twist with some symbolic value to it though.
