So my theme is urban landscape through expressive line and graffiti. I'm also incorporating the LGBTQ movement into my pieces which is why I chose the word peace.
1. To fill in the skyline should I do a light wash so it won't take away from the sky?
2. Do you think I should make the letters thicker?
I love this piece so much! :) The background looks so awesome and trippy. I do think that the letters should be outlined more with black, so they pop. And I think filling the skyline is lightly is a good idea, or you could just leave it blank.
ReplyDeleteYou should outline your letters more. Especially with the E, when you fill it in it's getting lost in the background.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so cool! I like the light wash idea for the skyline. I think the blue tones will stand out really well against the warm colored background. Awesome work!
ReplyDeleteI really like the water color you have so far in your skyline, continuing that would look very nice assuming that's what you meant by the wash. Also in hindsight, I dont think peace is a word commonly associated with lgbtq. I think peace has connotations more towards civil unrest or war between nations/within nations. I think words like "equality" or "respect" would have reached your intended theme a lot better.
ReplyDeleteThe purple in the letters looks awesome! I really like the city in the background and think that adding faint details into the city scape might make it look super cool!
ReplyDeleteI really like the patterns you have so far! I would definitely continue the watercolor wash you have started above the skyline, and then if you leave the skyline part white it would really pop!
