So this thing is like the story of the moon goddess who has to wear a gas mask because of pollution. The city at the bottom is Shanghai. I'm debating between having her wear the hoodie or the dress? And I don't know if you can tell that she's on the moon?
My inspirations are traditional Chinese paintings, tsClaire, and a street artist called Zilda
I think the dress keeps your idea more in line. I love your style and the idea. I think you are doing real well with your idea so far. I think maybe adding craters to the moon will make it more moon like or maybe a light around it.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! And I agree with Sydney- push light around the moon and stick with the dress, it translates better that way as a whole.
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea and it's definitely unique! I agree with pushing the lights around the moon as well. I really like the pops of color you're using in this piece! I was wondering what materials you are using and if you're going to use the same materials throughout the theme!?
ReplyDeleteYou could have her wearing a hoodie over her dress? (Also is her hair a reference to Sailor Moon? I love it either way.) To make the moon look more like a moon maybe you could add some craters to it. I'm also in love with your color scheme.
ReplyDeleteAsk around and see if viewers know that the city is in China or that this piece deals with one of China's issues=pollution. I like that you're hinting at it, but I'm curious to see how well it is being conveyed to others. Good start! I love the movement of this piece so far!!
