My theme is about social pressures and their effect on the youth. This is a boy student sitting on a classroom looking out a window imagining a starry sky with rocket ship and other creative imaginative things. I still have lots of shading to do. On top will be an alphabet and on the left will be a shattered clock. It is supposed to show how schools and things of that nature are limiting kids imagination and creativity and telling them to grow up more quickly. What other things should I put in the window? Also, any other interesting techniques or materials would improve this? Thanks!

I think also adding a crescent moon alongside the stars and rocket would complete the sky. I'm kind of at a loss for techniques, but maybe it'd be interesting to have the clock hiding something sinister-y? Like have a piece broken off and behind it would be something else relating to enforcing growing up fast and limiting imagination?
ReplyDeleteThink about things a young boy might be thinking about- dinosaurs, playing outside, etc to put in the window. I love your idea behind this piece!
