Hey guys, here is my project. I found an old advertisement for toasters, and thought it would be funny if arms were coming out of it, instead of toast. I used photoshop to layer arms of various shapes and sizes on the toaster. I also placed a blue filter on the background image. I am kind of stuck though... what should I do next? Maybe I could have the hands holding different objects? Also, I'm not really sure what to do with the right half of the page.. Any suggestions?
This is so awesome, I love the quirkiness to it, and the blue background makes it look really cool. For the right half of the picture, maybe you could have something coming out of the toaster. It wouldn't necessarily have to be something you wouldn't expect (but that would be awesome :D). It could just be smoke of some sort to create a movement.

ReplyDeleteSo kitsch and so quirky! I love the retro feel to it... What if you gave it a kind of advertise-y feel? Totally random suggestion, but I mean, I'd buy a toaster that shot out arms.

ReplyDeleteI think it would be neat if you looked at some old movie poster adds for horror films like The Birds or The Giant Woman, and some how incorporated that into it... Like have a title and maybe a sort description or review filling out the top and bottom of the pages? they could even be word bubbles from the women?
ReplyDeleteThe mouth on the right seems to be missing something. What if you had something coming out and bring out a deeper meaning within your piece? Overall, I really think this is all you, it looks very well put together. Keep pushing your vibrance Mira!
