First Theme Project!

Good evening! For my theme, I decided to do "An exploration of architecture and organic forms using an impressionistic style". For the first project, I decided to do a watercolor, ink, and charcoal piece of the German castle Neuschwanstein that I visited this summer.

To finish it, I plan to ink in all the windows on the castle and add more dark values. I may journal in ink on the sky about my trip there and information on the castle. Thoughts? Also, what else could I do to finish it?

    I agree on adding more darks. Also I might think about values in each of the windows (at least a little) so not all of them are straight black.

    Looks amazing so far though!

    Your project looks great so far! I think it would be a really cool idea to journal your trip in the sky! Would you be journaling on each of your projects in the future then? Just a thought! Keep up the great work!

    Could you add more charcoal to the piece? Your theme involves impressionism but I don't really see that in this. It could be that the picture isn't doing it justice though.
