GStoute Accident Project

So here's my project, it's an acoustic guitar with an amplifier done with acrylic paint and charcoal. The paper was crumpled for the layer 1 accident and paint was splattered as part of layer 2. I was going for a rougher design that is more care free. I was wondering if i should make the guitar less transparent or if i should do more with the background. Any advice would be appreciated.

  1. I think you should pull some value into the guitar, and put some highlights and definition in the amplifier. I wouldn't completely take away the transparency of the guitar, but I would definitely define it more. Overall I think this piece is really cool, I especially like the spontaneous effect of the line and crumpled paper. Good work!

  2. I feel like you could bring out the guitar more by defining the outer edges. I love how much detail you put into the amp! But I have to agree with Sofija about how it looks a little flat. On the other hand, I like the paint in the background splattered across the page. The monochromatic scheme is kind of cute in its own way.

  3. This is awesome! I love music themed art! I agree with you, I think the guitar should be less transparent, since it's so well done.
