Theme Piece 1
Hey pals! This is my first theme piece of the twelve. Hope it doesn't look like crap.
This is the first character (and the central one) in this crazy novel idea I have called Letters From A Thief. And...this is the thief. Yeah. So as a little background, this story takes place in a quasi-dystopian future that rebuilt itself after a nuclear war. The world was divided into seven sectors named after colors (because I'm SOOOOO creative...). North America, now the White Sector, is the prevalent superpower in the world and watches over citizens with genetically altered super soldiers. Whoo.
ANYWAY. This is the main character, a thief who goes by "The Black Fox" and operates out of the White Sector. The story is basically that she gets involved in a plot to find a massive outlet of treasure and a bunch of people get in her way.
I was told today to add a few more values, and I did somewhat. I could probably use more lights, but I don't really have the means to do so at home. Other than that, how can I make this look a little more polished (to put it nicely)?

It definitely needs some whites, and I would add a few values to the hair. Other than that, I really like the idea and the color you chose for the thief.
ReplyDeleteI really like your theme and how you incorporate the quote in with the piece. I agree with Lily about possibly adding more values to the hair, and maybe you could add some black paint for darker values so the quote goes with the character. In all, I love it!
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to add more colors to the background? I don't think it needs much, but you could have a halo of color around your character that fades out? Idk I'm just giving you ideas I don't really think it needs many changes to be honest.
