Piece is supposed to show the development and evolution of technology used in different time periods of American history. This first piece portrays a native American warrior, a revolutionary war soldier and a civil war soldier. Its follow up piece will represent more modern battles. To finish I will add
details to the figure in thin Sharpie and ahh values and color with pencil and water color. Do yo think I need to do anything with the background or keep it simple as it is? Should I put more emphasis on certain figures over others?
The ideas are there, just power through the execution! :) Sharpie and watercolor sounds good, and I would definitely make sure that there is a focal point, perhaps one of the figures could be brighter/more vivid, or even in a different pose? I think it would be beneficial to put something in the background. I had this vision of like a bunch of soldiers- sort of blurred or less vivid- behind the main figures to create some movement.
