My first variety piece! Yay! Okay so my plan for this is to show peace and calamity. I have glued down ever single page and divided in half. My next step is to carve out some holes and put balloons in them as if they are coming out of it. On the left side, colored balloons will be used. Some will be in the holes I carved and some will be blown up like its flying. On the other side, I will have black balloons and it'll be popped. I also plan on painting some red to so blood and evilness.
1. What are some tools I could use other than x acto knife to care into the pages?
2. How could I show flying balloons other than helium (cause it won't last long) and fish wire to hang it?
An awl works well to cut through pages (book binding tool) and gives a bit more precision than an x-acto knife. You could maybe fill the balloons with some things else?
