Hey there! This is another colored pencil piece expressing how emotions and consciousness relate. The idea behind this one is to express that certain emotions, when kept hidden, can control a mental state. The purple part is brain matter (shown from a different angle in the last piece.) Oh, and the colors are blocked in more clearly in person, and also I haven't quite decided if the figure's face will be of a different design than its body- (or whether it will have features.) Overall, I was wondering if you guys have any ideas about what I can do to make the figure stand out more from the background? Should I bring in any other materials give the piece some depth? Any other advice is welcome! Thanks!
I really like how the figure looks like it is going to come out of the page! If you want it to stand out more you could add black charcoal around that edges of it or maybe even an oil pastel and then it'd blend nicely. It looks really cool!
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea of this piece! It looks 3d while its 2d.I love how you used colored pencils and many times I feel like its hard to make a whole piece with colored pencil. I think more consistent to stick it the whole way through with colored pencils, but I great it'd be cooler to add a different media to give it more of a pop and surprise kinda feel. Also I think your colors from the person and the background are somewhat similar value so I would suggest either darkening the background more OR darkening the figure more. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI think water color would work well with the colored Pencil for the background at least
